What is HeadsUp! Reading?
HeadsUp! Reading is a state-of-the-art, college-level teacher training course designed to improve early literacy outcomes for young children by improving teaching practices. Students can take the course via distance learning satellite, and will be supported by on-site facilitators and a website.
The HeadsUp! Reading course takes its strength from these learning elements:

collaboration with RISE Learning SolutionsTM and the Council for
Professional Recognition.
Funded by AT&T, the Carnegie Corporation of New York, the Heinz Endowments, W.W. Kellogg Foundation, KnowledgeWorks Foundation, the A.L. Mailman Family Foundation, the Park Foundation, the states of Florida, Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio and Pennsylvania, and the California Children and Families Commission.
