College Credit

Students completing at least 5 HeadsUp! Reading classes can earn college credits toward an associate degree at a growing number of colleges and universities.

Early Childhood Learning CommunityYou can earn an early childhood Associate degree right at your center by using your HeadsUp! Reading equipment! Enroll first with the University of Cincinnati and check on their procedures, then check your HeadsUp! Reading program schedules for classes and times.

For those who wish to have their college of choice offer credit for HeadsUp! Reading, see the HeadsUp! Reading Guide to Student Credit, available at www.huronline.org. Then take the syllabus and the college form to your college advisor for assistance.

CEUs
CEUs can be used toward a variety of professional development goals, including the CDA credential. Strict attendance records need to be kept in order to grant CEUs. Students who complete the course and CEU assignment are eligible for 4.5 CEUs. See the CEUs section in the HeadsUp! Reading Guide to Student Credit, available at www.huronline.org.

The time you spend during HeadsUp! Reading classes can also be applied toward annual state professional development clock hour requirements for the following:
